Christel Dahlskjaer, Conference Director

Christel Dahlskjaer is the driving force behind FOSSCON and previously has worked on arranging both small- and large scale conferences ranging from 50 to 5000 participants. She holds the position as Head of Staff for the IRC network freenode and serves on the board of directors for the Peer-Directed Projects Center. She is actively involved in the FOSS community as a Gentoo developer, ReactOS' testing and community coordinator and as a core member of the Irssi team. Passionate about FOSS, free culture and the community she quickly assembled a team sharing her passion when deciding to get FOSSCON off the ground.

Capelis, Conference Director

D.J. Capelis works on speaker selection and bring high quality talks and content to FOSSCON. He specializes in security and studies at the University of California, San Diego in the Computer Science and Engineering Department. He has been active in the FOSS community for a number of years, particularly with the Blender Project where he helps out as the Linux Platform Manager.

Scott Perry, Conference Director

Scott Perry has always had a knack for bringing people together and forging connections. This quality makes him ideal for FOSSCON where he coordinates logistics and helps make things happen. He is a developer at Procuro, Inc and has a wide range of development experience from artificial intelligence to hardware sensor systems. He is currently attending the University of California, San Diego as a student of the Computer Science and Engineering Department.

Kelsey Hudson, Technical Lead

Kelsey is FOSSCON's resident tech guy. He'll be coordinating with the convention center's tech people to provide internet access and will be monitoring the teams working on internal network services for attendees as well as overseeing FOSSCONtv.

Chris, Security Lead

Chris will be holding down the security element of FOSSCON ensuring the people enjoy a safe productive conference.

Marty D. Connor, Events Lead

Marty will be leading the Think Tank event at FOSSCON and will be helping us oversee and coordinate some of the other events going on at the conference.

In addition to those mentioned above we have a volunteer team of around 100 volunteers for the actual event, all of whom are making great effort to making sure we take care of you in the time leading up to, and during, the conference. Our team is working hard to bring people together and make this conference a success, without their help an event like FOSSCON just wouldn't work.
